Did you hear the whisper and feel the breeze as an angel flapped his wings on his way back to the Lord? Thomas Lawrence Keefe was called to heaven on September 18, 2013. Born on August 10, 1935 in Howard Beach NY, Tom blessed the lives of Frank and Alma Gross as one of their foster children. Tom graduated from Brewster High School and Westchester Community College with a degree in Accounting and lived in Brewster until his death. Tom worked for Singer Co. until they relocated to another state and for a record number of years as a bartender at the former Sciortino's Restaurant in Brewster. He was a member of the Brewster Fire Department as well as an avid Keno & scratch off player and Giants fan.

Tom is survived by his brother, Eugene J. Keefe and wife Lorraine Keefe. Nephews, Robert E. Keefe, Johnny Keefe and wife Annette, Niece Linda and husband Jim Benzie. Great Nephews and Nieces, Robert E. Keefe, Storm Tentler, Kayla and Korey Keefe and Nicholas Benzie. Great, Great Nephew and Niece, Hudson and Harper Tentler. He was pre-deceased by his foster brother, Martin McNicholas and his nephew Billy J. Keefe.

Tom will live forever in our hearts as he was such a constant presence and positive influence in all our lives. Doing it "Tommy" style, lets raise one final glass up in honor of him.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday from 4-8 pm at Joseph J. Smith Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 11 am at St. Lawrence Church, Brewster with interment to follow at St. Lawrence Cemetery, Brewster. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Tom to the American Cancer Society.
