Emily J. Head

Emily J. Head of Mahopac, NY, died Wednesday, Aug. 1. She was 75. Born Emily Wright in the Bronx on June 10, 1937, she was the daughter of Harold and Margaret Wright.

She is survived by her husband Rodney; her daughters, Linda Burris of Carmel, Margo Hamilton of South Dakota and Debra Deschamps of Connecticut; her son David of Mahopac; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and sisters Barbara LeDoux of Florida and Eileen Sorichetti of Mahopac. She was predeceased by brothers Harold Wright and Austin Wright, both of Florida.

Visiting will be held Sunday from 2-6 PM at Joseph J. Smith Funeral Home, 692 Rte 6, Mahopac, NY 10541. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday at 10 AM at St. John The Evangelist Church in Mahopac with interment to follow at Ballard-Barrett Cemetery, Mahopac Falls, NY. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the American Heart Association.
