William P. Armstrong of Mahopac, NY passed away on August 13, 2018 surrounded by his loving family; he was 76. He was born in Scotland on April 24, 1942, the son of John and Mary (Patterson) Armstrong. On September 16, 1972 he married Bridget Keane and they were blessed with two children. William worked with the TWU Local 100 as a bus driver and was a proud veteran of the US Army.

He had a fantastic sense of humor. He enjoyed building things with his hands and he was a friend to all that knew him and his friends became his family.

William is survived by his wife Bridget, his son Billy, his daughter Sharon Fennessy and her husband Michael, two grandchildren Shaylah and Keira and his brother John, as well as a large family of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends and family are welcome to attend a visitation on Thursday, August 16th from 1-3 & 6-9 PM at the Joseph J. Smith Funeral Home in Mahopac. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, August 17th at 10 AM at St. John The Evangelist Church, also in Mahopac. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne.
