Stella Focarile of Mahopac, NY passed away peacefully on Sunday morning, March 10, 2019 at her home with her loving family by her side. Stella was born in Manhattan 88 years ago on July 4, 1931 to Ernest and Stella (Guido) Pappalardo.
Stella loved cooking for and being with her family. She was married for almost 69 years to her beloved husband, Joseph, who survives at home. She is also survived by her loving children, Anthony, Catherine (Scott) and Toniann (Louis), all of Mahopac and her grandchildren, Joyann, Michele and Melissa.
Per Stella's wishes, her cremation will take place privately prior to her Funeral Mass which will be held at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in Shrub Oak, NY on Thursday, March 14, 2019 at 1 pm. Interment of her cremains will take place at Calvary Cemetery in Queens at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Stella may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
