Rose Piscatore of Carmel, NY passed away peacefully on December 17, 2018 at the age of 101. She was born in New York City on September 9, 1917, the daughter of Antonio and Carmela(nee Tamburrino) Gianfrancesco.

Rose is survived by her son Raymond Ortiz and his wife Sandra, her daughters Carmen Bierman, Rosemarie Oliveri, and Margaret Ortiz; her sister Theresa Dannacker, her brothers Jerry and Sal Gianfrancesco, 12 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.

All are welcome to attend a visitation on Wednesday, December 19th from 4-8 PM at the Joseph J. Smith Funeral Home in Mahopac, NY. The funeral service will begin at 7:30 PM during the visitation at the funeral home. Interment will follow on Thursday, December 20th at 12:30 PM at George Washington Memorial Park, 234 Paramus Rd, Paramus, NJ 07652. For those not able to attend services on Wednesday, please arrive at the funeral home at 10 AM on Thursday for a brief visitation before leaving for the cemetery.
