Robert S. Coley of Naples, FL passed away on Sunday, November 27th at the home of his companion Nancy Alecci. He was 83. He was born in Bronx, NY, the son of Harvey and Helen (Weill) Coley. Bob was a graduate of Regis High School and LeMoyne University, and earned his MBA from CUNY at Baruch. Bob was a proud veteran of the Navy and served for over 3 years active duty.

He worked as a financial consultant in New York City and owned his own firm before retiring. Bob was an accomplished businessman whose greatest professional joys came from his years as a consultant both nationally and internationally. He often said if he could he would simultaneously work in New York City, live in Sidney, Australia and play in Rio de Janeiro.

Bob loved doing crossword puzzles in pen, playing golf and entertaining family and friends. He was a great storyteller, an inveterate reader and loved a good game of gin rummy or cribbage.

He prized his children and his grandchildren and often spoke of how proud he was of their respective accomplishments.

Bob is survived by his son Kevin Glackin-Coley and wife Tara, daughters Janet Rich, Linda Robinson and husband Kevin, Maureen Coley, and Sara McElhone and husband Charles, and 10 Grandchildren; Melissa, Kelly, Alex, Julia, Erinn, Corey, Olivia, Shay, Dylan and Maeve.

Friends and family are welcome to attend a memorial visitation on Saturday, December 3rd from 12-2PM at the Joseph J. Smith Funeral Home is Mahopac, NY. Eulogies and personal remembrances will be shared at 2PM.
