Michele May Lloyd of Hopewell Junction, NY died on January 10, 2018 at the age of 48. She was born in Carmel, NY, the daughter of Thomas Simmons and Pamela Burke. Most recently, Michele worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Vassar Warner Home for the elderly. She also received her Doctorate in Theology at Fordham University in 2017.

Michele lived with a zest for life and was never at a loss for a smile. Her world revolved around her family and friends. She was charitable by nature and always helping those less fortunate. Michele was very involved in fund raising and raising awareness for cancer research. She went as far as to author her own book about her experiences fighting breast cancer. Her love for animals knew no bounds and her house was constantly full of animals of all shapes and sizes. Anyone that knew Michele, knew that her religion came second only to her family in her life. When she wasn't working towards her Theology doctorate, she was evangelizing her faith.

Michele is survived by her husband Patrick (PJ), her children Emma and Patrick, her mother Pamela, her brother Matt, her special Aunt Linda, Uncle Tommy, Cousin Kelly and her large extended family in Ireland.

Friends and family are welcome to attend a visitation on Friday, January 12th from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Joseph J. Smith Funeral Home in Mahopac, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, January 13th at 11:30 AM at St. Columba Church in Hopewell Junction. Interment will follow at Ballard Barrett Cemetery in Mahopac Falls, NY.

In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions in Michele's name to Sparrow's Nest of the Hudson Valley,
