Louis A. Sweet of Mahopac Falls, NY passed away on Tuesday, January 3rd at the age of 74. He was born on November 10, 1942 in Torrington, CT, the son of Clifford and Kathleen (Driver) Sweet. He was a long time resident of Mahopac and a proud veteran of the US Army having served from July 1965 to June 1968 during the Vietnam War. He served as a member of the Mahopac Volunteer Fire Department from 1963-1969 and owned the T.A.K. Carpentry and Construction.

Louis was predeceased by his wife Vera Sweet of 27 years. He is survived by his girls Tracy Berube, Amy Labbe, Katie Sweet, his 6 grandchildren Bobby, Ryan, Alyssa, Devin, Abigail, Cassandra; his great grandson Lucas; and his sisters Dorothy Williams, Cynthia Light, Grace Simmons, and Rhoda Kollar.

A visitation will take place on Saturday, January 7th from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Joseph J. Smith Funeral Home in Mahopac. A funeral service is scheduled on Sunday, January 8th at 12:30 PM at the Mt. Hope United Methodist Church (Hill St., Mahopac) with interment to follow at the First Presbyterian Cemetery in Mahopac Falls.
