Louis A. Dursi
of Somers, formally of Bedford, NY
Beloved son of Frances and John Dursi (both deceased). Loving husband of Diane D'Angelo Dursi of 57 years. He is survived by his wife Diane, son Christopher Dursi and his wife Diane, daughter Frances Karoff and husband John Karoff, and daughter Cynthia O'Brien and husband Kenneth O'Brien. He was a special grandfather to Luke and Julia Dursi, Charles and Timothy Karoff, and James and Thomas O'Brien.
Beloved brother of John Dursi (deceased) and his wife Bonnie Dursi, Dr. Joseph Dursi and his wife Martha (deceased), Paul Dursi (deceased) and his wife Barbara, Mary Anne Cipolla, Carolyn Dursi Cunniffe and husband Mo Cunniffe, Frank Dursi and his wife Helene, and Monica Cimina and husband Jim.
Raised in a large, loving Italian family, Lou was a loving husband, father and grandfather who relished the time he spent with family and friends. Whether it was hugging and squeezing his grandchildren, dining out and relaxing with his wife, or spending time golfing and playing cards with his friends, Lou brought gusto and enthusiasm to everything he did, and love and light to everyone he touched. He will be remembered for his big smile, kind heart, voracious appetite, dapper dressing, meticulousness, shiny red cars, perfect lawn, love of the NY Yankees and ridiculous expressions that left all who encountered him smiling and lighter. He took your hand when he said hello and said your name like it was his favorite song. He was a sparkling light who made everyone feel loved. He was a member of the Lions Club in Bedford and Somers. He will be missed by his loving family and many friends.
