Joan Hyatt of West Coxsackie, NY passed away peacefully on Monday, December 5th at the age of 84. She was born in Mahopac Falls, NY, the daughter of Horace and Glenna (Tompkins) Lockwood. On June 9, 1950 she married James E. Hyatt in the Red Mills Baptist Church. Joan enjoyed baseball, football, Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune and spending time with her family and friends.

She leaves her loving memories to be cherished by; her son Jack Hyatt and his wife Christine, her daughter Linda Schaeffler and her husband Ed, grandchildren Eddie and his wife Jen, Brandi and her husband Brian and Great Grand-children; Braden, Mikayla and Blake. She was predeceased by her sisters Muriel Lockwood and Edna Fusco; and her husband James in 2004.

Friends and family may call on Thursday 12/8 from 4-8 PM at the Joseph J. Smith Funeral Home in Mahopac, NY. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Friday 12/9 at 11AM. Interment will follow at Ballard Barrett Cemetery in Mahopac Falls.
