Elizabeth M. "Betty" Iacovone of Mahopac, NY passed away peacefully on Sunday May 21, 2017 at the age of 94. She was born in Manhattan on June 29, 1922, the daughter of John J. and Elizabeth M. Schultz.

Betty was the longtime owner of the Lake Mahopac Tailor Shop. She was a parishioner of St. John The Evangelist Church in Mahopac.

In August of 1944, she married Dante P. Iacovone in Manhattan. Dante passed away on October 7, 1958. She is survived by her daughter, Diane (Brian), her sons, Peter (Terry) and Jay (Carrie), her grandchildren, Clint and Nicole (Rich) and her great grandson, Max.

Visiting will be held on Friday May 26, 2017 from 4-7 pm at Joseph J. Smith Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday May 27 at 10 am at St. John The Evangelist Church with interment of her cremains to follow at St. Lawrence Cemetery in Brewster, NY.
