Edward I. Tocci of Carmel, formerly of Somers, NY passed away with his family by his side on November 12, 2020 at the age of 73. He was born on June 25, 1947 in Yonkers, NY the son of Edward B. and Constance (Greco) Tocci. On June 14, 1969, he married Maria Vetrano and they were blessed with 2 children, Edward J. and Amy Lyn.

Edward attended Farmingdale University and earned his Associates degree. He then went on to earn his Bachelor of Science degree from Eastern Kentucky University. Edward owned Seymour Auto Service which he started with his father. At age 63, he took online classes in Water Treatment studies and completed the necessary certificates and licenses to start a new career with the Carmel Water Department.

Edward loved to play golf, hunt, and coach; and also taught Kung Fu and Tai Chi.

Family was most important to Edward and he cherished them dearly. He took a sincere interest in their daily lives, always asking and engaging them to see how they were doing; especially his grandchildren whom he adored.

Edward is survived by his loving wife Maria, beloved mother Constance, cherished daughter Amy Lyn Colatruglio and her husband Joe, Pamela Lecker whom he considered a daughter-in-law, grandchildren Samantha, Joseph, Jr., Emily Angela, and Noah, brother-in-law Joe, sister-in-law Judy and 3 nephews and 1 niece, 4 great nieces and 2 great nephews and many cousins whom he loved dearly. He was predeceased by his father Edward B., his son Edward J., and Maria's parents Joseph and Angela Vetrano.

Services for Mr. Tocci will not be held at this time due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
