Donald James Allbee, a longtime resident of Mahopac, passed away on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at the age of 87. He was born in Yonkers, NY, the son of Allen and Charlotte (Mader) Allbee. Donald began his banking career with People's Savings Bank, Yonkers in 1955; he retired from Peoples Westchester Savings Bank as Vice President in 1989. He was a proud veteran of the US Air Force, serving in the Korean War.

Donald was a member of the Kiwanis Club of Yonkers for many years. Throughout his life he enjoyed hiking, camping and golf. He always had a joke to tell and was known for his charming and respectful manner.

Donald was predeceased by his wife Marie in 2009 and by his brother Charles in 2012.

He is survived by his daughters, Karen (Kurt) Wildman, Beth (Robert) Clark, and his son Eric (Naomi) Allbee; grandchildren Brian, Heather (Taylor), Zachary, Hannah; great-grandchildren Paige, Cameron. He is survived by Marie's children, John Connors, JoAnne Tocci, Michael Connors, Kevin (Claire) Connors; grandchildren Jennifer (John), Jessica (George), Erin, John; great-grandchildren, Callie, Mackenna, Ethan, Lily, Violet, Jack.

The family is grateful to his many devoted caretakers at Apple Rehab in Middletown, CT, which became his home four years ago.

Friends and family are welcome to attend a memorial visitation on Saturday, April 15th at 10AM, followed by the funeral service at 11AM at the United Methodist Church in Shrub Oak, NY; with committal services at Rose Hills Memorial Park in Putnam Valley, NY.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Donald's name to the Kiwanis International, www. kiwanis.org.
