Charles R. Cheek passed away on Friday December 23, 2016 at the age of 74. He was born in
El Dorado, AR on December 15, 1942, the son of Jesse Stark Cheek Jr. and Rosemary "Polly" Griffin Cheek.

Charles served in the United States Airforce. He was the owner of his construction company, Cherokee Development in Mahopac, NY. He lived for many years in Mahopac before moving to Yorktown Heights about 15 years ago. He coached MSA Pop Warner Football in Mahopac and was a member of the Touchdown Club while his sons played football at Mahopac High School. Charles served on the Board of Education in Mahopac and was a past president of the board.

On May 24, 1969 he married Ellen Toriello. In addition to Ellen, he is survived by his sons, Charles of Mahopac and Eric and his wife Elena, also of Mahopac; his brother Earl Bartlett Cheek of Smackover, AR and his grandchildren, Dominic, Anthony, Eric Paul, Elleana and Emma. His brother Jesse and sister Carol Ann White predeceased him.

Visiting will be held on Tuesday December 27 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at Joseph J. Smith Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 11:30 am at St. John The Evangelist Church in Mahopac. Private cremation services will follow.
