Carl B. Lugbauer of Mahopac, NY passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 14, 2018 at the age of 76. He was born in Mt. Vernon, NY on February 25, 1942, the son of Edward and Margarite (Creutzberger) Lugbauer.

Carl was a graduate of A.B. Davis High School in Mt. Vernon. He was a self-employed window treatment installer, working in Westchester and Putnam Counties in NY and in the Connecticut area.

Carl enjoyed golf, bowling and working in his garden at home. He was an avid baseball fan and coached baseball for many years for teams which included his sons and grandsons. His son Doug also coached teams following his school years. Carl's grandson Drew currently plays in the minor leagues for the Atlanta Braves organization and his grandson Myckie is the current coach of the Mahopac High School Baseball Team. Carl also served as the President of the Mahopac Sports Association.

On August 31, 1963 he married Jean Carregal. In addition to Jean, he is survived by his sons, Douglas and his wife, Donna of Mahopac and Christopher and his wife, Cynthia of Pleasant Valley, NY, his sister, Joan Reese of Mt. Vernon and his grandchildren, Myckie, Courtenay, Drew, Russell and Trey.

A Memorial Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 from 2-5 & 7-9 pm at Joseph J. Smith Funeral Home. Interment of Carl's cremains will take place privately at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research at
