Brian F. O'Keefe of Mahopac, NY and formerly of Somerset, NJ passed away suddenly at the age of 57. He was born in Queens, NY; the son of William and Doris (Walenta) O'Keefe, Sr. Brian received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Siena College and worked for Philips Electric in New Jersey before relocating to Mahopac. He is survived by his brothers Bob of Columbia, MD and Bill and sister-in- law Noreen of Mahopac, as well as by his two nieces Siobhan (Dave) Haddeland of Warwick, RI and Aileen (Jim) Huvane of Ossining, NY. The family is most grateful to his caregiver Ernest Akahoho for his dedication and care for Brian.

Brian was an avid fan of both the NY Yankees and Giants. He enjoyed the company of family, friends and his Siena classmates who would visit with him at his condo.

Friends and family may call on Sunday, July 2nd from 2-6 PM at the Joseph J. Smith Funeral Home in Mahopac. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, July 3rd at 10AM at St. John the Evangelist Church, also in Mahopac. A private cremation and private burial of ashes will follow.
