Andrew J. Panessa, Jr. of Mahopac passed away on Friday, September 15, 2017 at the age of 66. He was born in Yonkers, NY on November 12, 1950, the son of Andrew and Evelyn(LaVista) Panessa. Andy was a retired detective of the New Rochelle Police Department.

Andy is survived by his wife Cindy, his daughter Cynthia McGraw, his son Andrew and his wife Ashley, his brother Frank, and his grandchildren Michael, Christopher, Erik, and Ryan. He was predeceased by his brother Bart.

Friends and family are welcome to attend a visitation on Monday, September 18th from 4-8 PM at the Joseph J. Smith Funeral Home in Mahopac, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 19th at 10AM at St. John The Evangelist Church in Mahopac. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park in Putnam Valley.
