Mrs. Daul was my first and second grade teacher from 2002-2003. So many of my formative memories from elementary school took place in her classroom. The science projects we did stick out in particular, especially the annual solar system museum! (I believe I presented "the Universe".) And all of the creatures she kept in her classroom! I loved that she made it completely acceptable for 6- and 7-year-old girls to enjoy all of the creepy crawlies she had, and that

I had Mrs. Daul for 2nd grade at Austin Road. She was so inventive + exciting in the classroom, someone who encouraged creativity/imagination just as much as the fundamentals. Mrs. Daul truly believed in me-- even after she retired we communicated via email about writing I was doing & what not. I'm currently in college studying to become a teacher myself because of the impact she had on my life. Such a special woman. She will be dearly missed. My condolances to her loved ones.

Mrs Daul was my 5th grade teacher back in 1976 at Austin Road. She left an indelible mark on me in many ways. I am so sorry for your loss. What a great woman she was.

Dear Susie and family,
May Marilyn's spirit continue to guide you throughout your lives. The beautiful memories you all shared will live forever in your hearts and in the smiles of your children. It was an honor (for me) to have met Marilyn, she had such a positive influence...and that smile leaves a lasting impression. She will be sadly missed.
Love

So, so sorry to hear this. The years have passed by so quickly-- I wish I could've stayed in touch with Marilyn... but life in general often divides us, especially when there's a great distance involved. I'm Bruce's second cousin. Bruce, my heartfelt sympathy on Marilyn's passing. In time the memories of the precious moments you spent together will bring you great joy. Meanwhile, I wish you strength in getting through the grief. Love, Ellie
